How to prepare for registration
Check your Registration Information Sheet (RIS) to find out your registration times and see if you have any registration holds. RIS pages will be updated for registration soon.
Review your Interactive Degree Audit (IDA) to see which degree requirements you still need to meet. Click the “Access IDA Now” button. Then click on “Audit Results” on the left-hand side—there should already be a recent audit there for you to review.
Look at your Degree Plan to review degree requirements. Find Core Curriculum Lists here.
Review the Course Schedule to explore class options. You can see course descriptions for social work courses here.

Helpful tips
- Check prerequisites by clicking on the unique number (blue 5-digit # on course schedule). If you register for a class and don’t meet the prerequisites—you may be dropped eventually.
- Social work course waitlists will be activated as soon as a class fills up. Classes listed as “closed” on the course schedule have full online waitlists. You cannot get permission from the instructor to add a social work class listed as “waitlisted” or “closed.” Contact the BSW Programs Team if you have questions.
