Bachelor of Social Work

The BSW major combines social work and liberal arts classes with a focus on social work values and built-in experiential learning in community agencies. The BSW is a professional degree that leads to licensure and direct entry into human service jobs. It can also pave the way for postgraduate studies in areas like law, public health, and medicine. The Bachelor of Social Work program requires 122 credit-hours of coursework, 400 clock-hours of practicum internship in a community agency under the supervision of a licensed social worker, and 30 clock-hours of service learning in a community agency.
