For over 25 years, the Office of Professional Development at UT Social Work has been a trusted resource for Texas social workers and mental health professionals. We offer high-quality continuing education through dynamic courses, workshops, and conferences—designed to help you maintain your licensure and grow in your career. As a provider, we proudly serve social workers (LSW/LCSW), clinical psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and professional counselors (LPC/LCPC), all in alignment with BHEC regulations and Texas law.

Join us for an engaging training on integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) with play therapy to support clients in understanding and healing their inner world. This workshop will explore how play-based techniques—such as sandtray and collage—can be used to help clients access and work with their internal “parts” in a non-threatening, developmentally appropriate way while fostering connection with their core Self.

Licensures
The Office of Professional Development is a provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the following licensures:
- Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW)
- Licensed Master Social Workers-Advanced Practitioners (LMSW-AP)
- Licensed Clinical Social workers (LCSW)
- Licensed Baccalaureate Social Workers (LBSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT).
The office also provides Continuing Education Credit (CECs) for Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselors (AADC) and Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (AAP).
Attendees will receive a certificate indicating the number of continuing education credits or units offered for the program. Please see details of workshops and events to determine if a seminar meets your specific continuing education licensing requirements. If you are licensed outside of the state of Texas, please contact your professional licensing board to confirm reciprocity with Texas licensure.
