Demystifying Student Loans for Social Work Students

September 10 @ 11:30 am 12:30 pm

Student loans are a common resource many students use to pursue a higher education. In this workshop, we will break down the loan process, discuss the 5 tips to thinking strategically on your career and the important role of self-care.

About the Speaker Tiffany Oscar holds a MS in Social Work (2009) and a Masters in Public Administration (2015). Tiffany works as a Program Director for a small private foundation where she manages a grant portfolio of nearly $5 million to support nonprofits serving older adults and people who are critically ill. Like many social workers, Tiffany faced the harsh reality of living years with a low salary and six figures of debt. By applying the same social work principles used to help clients and organizations, she was able to achieve student loan forgiveness and wipe away some of her student loan debt.
