Sara Green-Otero, social worker at Kipp Austin Public Schools, is the recipient of the 2018 Field Instructor of the Year Award from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work.
The award was presented at the Field Instructor Development Institute, February 1, 2019.
Field instructors provide administrative and educational supervision for social work students during their internships in social service agencies and other institutions in the community. With this award, the Steve Hicks School of Social Work recognizes outstanding field instruction and long-term commitment to social work education. The recognition comes with a stipend supported by the Jane Addams Field Education Development Endowment.
