The Health Behavior Research and Training Institute (HBRT) has received a contract from the Travis County Juvenile Probation Department to train 135 probationer officers, counselors, and other staff in Motivational Interviewing. The juvenile probation staff are responsible for youth that are detained awaiting trial; youth tried in court, found guilty, and placed on probation; and court-committed male juveniles receiving residential services.
Dr. Nanette Stephens, Director of Training at HBRT, will take the lead on this project.
