Dr. Cody completed her PhD in Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin, Steve Hicks School of Social Work in 2007. She has over 24 years of child welfare experience and has been a lead evaluator on the CB funded AdoptUSKids research/evaluation team since 2003 as well as several other State and local evaluations. She held a lead role on the federally mandated Barriers and Success Factors in Adoption studies, as well as on evaluation projects including Disproportionality Across Systems – Medicaid use by Black Youth, Parenting Children of Historical Trauma, Healthy Marriages Curriculum for Adoptive Parents, and Refugee Services Training. Dr. Cody is also an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the BSW and MSSW programs in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at UT-Austin, teaching courses such as Research Methods and Program Evaluation.
