The UT School of Social Work maintains the Professional Development Assistance Fund to support students pursuing professional development opportunities. These funds do not need to be repaid; however, receiving an award may impact your financial aid status. We strongly encourage you to consult with the University’s Office of Financial Aid if you have any questions or concerns.

Funding Details:

  • Awards may help offset expenses such as registration, travel, and/or lodging, up to a maximum of $300 per student, depending on available funds.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least one course during both the current semester and the semester in which they will attend or present at the conference.
  • Due to limited funding, only one student per accepted abstract may receive funding (when applicable).

Additional Financial Aid Considerations:

  • If you receive a financial aid package, a portion of your award may be applied toward outstanding loan balances. If you have concerns about how this may affect your aid, please contact the Office of Financial Aid for further guidance.

Please note: Students must be currently enrolled to be eligible for assistance.

We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to engage with and contribute to the broader professional community.
