Cardea Services has received a three-year award from the US DHHS – ACF under the Personal Responsibility Education Program (“PREP”).  Under this award, Cardea will establish the Connections Project, which will replicate and adapt teen pregnancy prevention programs for foster youth and youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

Monica Faulkner, associate director of Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeng will provide program evaluation services, including both process and outcome evaluation. The process evaluation will address the overall functioning of the project and will ultimately result in creation of a manual for the program.  The outcome evaluation will measure the impact of the teen pregnancy prevention curriculum on sexual health outcomes.
