The purpose of this proposal is to conduct the necessary activities to prepare for an R01 application for a national sample of street youth, including risk and protective factors, runaway history, service use and geographic information. Activities include creation of a retrospective event-history geographic instrument, and feasibility testing for street youth in two settings. In the initial stage of the study, existing instruments will be reviewed and an initial instrument protocol will be created. Once this protocol has been created, the instrument will be conducted with a sample of 35 street youth.
