Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) received a 5 year Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) cooperative agreement. Texas HHSC contracts with The University of Texas at Austin, Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health (TIEMH) to provide services for quality improvement, training, and evaluation of the Promoting Integration of Primary and Behavioral Healthcare (PIPBHC) project. Dr. Stacey Manser and TIEMH have worked with Texas HHSC on this project since 2019. Dr. Manser and her team at TIEMH will lead key activities such as providing supportive infrastructure for the implementation of PIPBHC; developing and implementing a plan for evaluation and related outcomes; and providing training, technical assistance, and other quality improvement activities, based on the needs identified by provider organizations and as outlined in grant goals.
