Dr. Borah will serve as co-PI for a PCORI Engagement Award project, Mind Over Matter, led by Dr. Krause-Parello at FAU. The project engages unit leaders from four states to conduct several “Think Tank” meetings with veterans, caregivers, and stakeholders who have a connection to, expertise in, or lived experience related to traumatic brain injury. Unit leaders will learn from stakeholders how researchers can improve engagement strategies with regard to conducting research on TBI treatment and the research areas most needed. Unit leaders will also learn from stakeholders their preferences for healthcare information and assist in crafting a roadmap for new research on traumatic brain injuries.
