This project encompasses a four county area (Bastrop, Lee, Fayette and Colorado counties) outside Austin that received a National Institute of Justice grant to develop a large computer networking system in order to enhance the tracking and prosecution of domestic violence offenders. A process evaluation is currently being conducted to assess the effectiveness of the implementation of this networking system. Preliminary results indicate that the computer networking system within the four county area will be very beneficial to law enforcement, advocates, and victims in terms of tracking cases throughout this rural area.
