Funded by US DHHS Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the goal of this initiative is to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to enhance the state and local infrastructure to strengthen the systems that interact with children, youth, and families with severe emotional disturbances. In collaboration with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas Department of State Health Services, Dr. Lopez and her team at the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health in the Center for Social Work Research is leading efforts in planning, training and technical assistance, community development, and accountability process.
