Two faculty members from the School of Social Work have received Special Research Grants from The University of Texas at Austin’s Office of the Vice President for Research. These competitive grants provide research support for specific projects for individual tenured and tenure-track faculty members.
- Dr. Christopher Salas-Wright, for his project titled “The feasibility of biobehavioral research on substance abuse in San Salvador, El Salvador”
- Dr. Noel Busch-Armendariz, for her project “Assessing the Needs of Congolese Refugee Mothers.” Doctoral students Karin Wachter and Laurie Cook-Heffron will be contributing to this project, as well as Dr. Susanna Snyder.
