Sharon Hoefer is a project manager at the Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing. She has worked directly with survivors of interpersonal violence as a case manager and support group facilitator, and with children and young adults in a variety of settings including violence-prevention education and social-and-life-skills education. She also has experience coordinating research and program evaluation related to interpersonal violence and services for survivors. Most recently, Sharon worked collaboratively with college students to create, coordinate and deliver violence prevention programming and messaging to the UT Austin campus community. Sharon received a Masters of Science in Social Work, as well as a Bachelors of Social Work and Bachelors of Arts in Plan II Honors, from UT Austin.

Sharon is passionate about interpersonal violence prevention, consent and communication, and sexual and reproductive health. She is also interested in restorative and transformative justice practices.
