Shannon joined the AdoptUSKids Evaluation team in October 2023. She has 6+ years of experience in research, policy work and non-profit work related to social justice, equity, and youth empowerment. She is skilled in qualitative and quantitative research, program evaluation, program development, and data analysis. She received her bachelor’s from the University of Texas at Austin in 2020, followed by her master’s in social work in 2023, also from UT Austin, with a concentration in administration and policy practice. Before joining the team, Shannon worked as a Policy Advocate for the National Association of Social Workers during the Texas legislative session and as Graduate Teaching Assistant throughout her time in graduate school. She currently lives in the Dallas area.
