Shalom is a first-generation college graduate who graduated with her MSSW in 2024. She is passionate about policy work and has served the greater UT Social Work community as a student, including leadership in the Latinx Students and Scholars Network.
Following graduation, she became a licensed master social worker (LMSW) and now serves as a bilingual social worker for the Children’s Immigration Law Academy.
