Seanice Thomas is a Grants and Contracts Specialist in the Office of the Associate Dean for Research within the School of Social Work, where she supports faculty and research teams through both pre-award and post-award grant administration processes. Her primary expertise is in the preparation and submission of competitive grant proposals, helping researchers secure external funding and advance their scholarly initiatives.

On the post-award side, Seanice primarily processes vouchers and supports the financial administration of awarded projects to help ensure compliance and efficient grant management. She brings experience in contract management, including work with North Carolina State Health and Human Services programs serving rural communities, as well as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) federal grants through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Seanice holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Contract Management and Acquisition and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in IT Security Management. Through her diverse background in grants, contracts, and research administration, she is committed to supporting the School of Social Work’s research mission and fostering successful funding outcomes.
