Sandy Lam is passionate about creating communal spaces for connection and learning, a passion that has led her to work in art, education, and non-profit spaces. For six years, she worked in the college access and success field, supporting first generation students in their journey to get to and through college. She began as an AmeriCorps member and eventually became an Associate Director of Programs, overseeing all on-site programming. During this time, she learned how to develop and deliver programs, build and manage teams, and coach others in their professional growth. Outside of work, Sandy has volunteered at community-based organizations as an event planner, workshop facilitator, and mentor. Most recently, she was the Program Coordinator for the Asian American Storytelling Summit, an interactive conference-style event that equipped participants with tools to tell their own stories. Sandy holds a Bachelor’s in English and Psychology from the University of Texas.
