Rose is a 2005 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin Steven Hicks School of Social Work and a 2019 graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington. Rose has been a licensed social worker since 2005 and is a nationally Certified Case Manager.

Rose has built her social work career in the health care industry practicing in skilled nursing, long term care, and dementia care. She has served as the Director of Social Services in skilled nursing facilities in the Austin area and in a corporate leadership role as the Regional Director of Social Services. Rose was responsible for the regulatory compliance of the nursing facilities in her region as well as the oversight, training, and education of social services and activity professionals.

Rose is currently the LVAD (Left Ventricular Assistive Device) Social Worker at Baylor Scott & White the Heart Hospital in Plano, TX. Rose is part of the Heart Failure team and the Comprehensive Care Management team where she supports patients in the cardiac intensive care unit, completes psychosocial assessments for patients requiring advanced cardiac therapies, and manages the continuum of care for outpatient clients living with an LVAD.

Rose has served as a field liaison for the University of North Texas and Texas Women’s University overseeing the internship and field education of undergraduate social work students interested in medical social work and geriatrics. She is a new board member of the University of Texas at Austin Social Work Alumni Network and is looking forward to building connections benefiting social work students and alumni.
