Background: Kirsta Melton, J.D., M.P.Aff., has over 20 years of experience as a prosecutor focused on adult sexual assault, human trafficking, intimate partner violence, and child physical and sexual abuse. She is the Founder and CEO of Institute to Combat Trafficking, which trains law enforcement to identify victims and prepare triable human trafficking cases. She has also served as Deputy Criminal Chief, Human Trafficking and Transnational/Organized Crime Section and Assistant Attorney General for Human Trafficking, Criminal Prosecutions Division, for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas.
