Kiana Javaheri, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Associate at the Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing at The University of Texas at Austin. She collaborates with a dynamic research team to conduct quantitative research and evaluation across initiatives focused on child welfare systems and child and family well-being. Her work involves managing complex data collection and analysis, and translating findings to support evidence-informed decision-making and continuous quality improvement.

Dr. Javaheri holds a Ph.D. in Health Geography from McGill University. Her research uses a socioecological approach to examine how social, structural, and place-based conditions shape outcomes for children, youth, and families. Her expertise includes population and administrative data analysis, large-scale data linkage, program evaluation, survey design, geospatial analysis and mapping, and data visualization.
