Pierrend has had the pleasure of serving in the mental health and public health realm for over 12 years, with areas of expertise in leading teams through operation management both in the non-profit and for-profit sectors. She graduated with her BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2017 and migrated to Utah to expand her knowledge. During the pandemic she sought further education and enrolled in Grand Canyon University under the Master of Public Health Program. She graduated in 2022 and found her way back to Texas. Being raised in a third world country (Peru) from the ages of 6 to 13 certainly opened Pierrend’s eyes to the health disparity we globally face and it became a reason as to why she has devoted her time to help others!
