Kaitlyn obtained her doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota in Kinesiology emphasizing exercise psychology and health promotion through an equity lens. Kaitlyn’s dissertation was a home-based strength training randomized controlled trial for Black women that focused on accessibility to increase physical activity and relevant psychosocial measures. She previously received her MA in General Experimental Psychology from California State Northridge and her BA in Psychology from Rice University. She is currently working in Dr. Hoelscher’s research lab that looks at infrastructure and community constructs on active commuting and physical activity for school children.
