Bringing over 15 years of experience in higher education, disability research, and family-centered health interventions, Esmeralda Garcia is a bilingual research and program leader dedicated to advancing equity and inclusion. She currently serves as a Social Sciences & Humanities Research Professional at the Texas Center for Disabilities Studies at The University of Texas at Austin, where she facilitates community-engaged projects supporting families of children with developmental disabilities.
With a background spanning strategic planning, program management, and multicultural community engagement, Esmeralda has designed and scaled culturally responsive coaching models, developed bilingual curricula, and fostered partnerships across academic, clinical, and community settings. Known for her collaborative leadership style, she brings expertise in promoting systemic change through education, advocacy, and inclusive program development. Fluent in English and Spanish, Esmeralda bridges diverse communities to create lasting impact for students, families, and institutions.
