Carla Vick is a former elementary education teacher and has subbed in several districts over the past 25 years. While living in Chicago, she served on the Auxiliary Board for the Juvenile Protective Association for 10 years. She was a founding board member and Chairman of the board for Hope Mommies, a nonprofit that serves mothers who have suffered the loss of a child. She is passionate about supporting families who have children in recovery and who are dealing with mental illnesses. Carla was born in Michigan and is proud to reside in Texas with her husband Jim. She has two adult children and one granddaughter in the Austin area. She enjoys traveling, cooking, mentoring young mothers and spending time with family and friends.
