Calandra Bradford is a Technology Transfer Specialist with the SAMHSA-funded Opioid Response Network. She manages requests for Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas related to the prevention, treatment, and recovery of opioid and stimulant use disorders.

Calandra received her Bachelor of Health and Wellness Promotion from Texas State University. She has over 20 years of experience in public health, epidemiology, program coordination and program evaluation from the Texas Department of Health and Texas Department of State Health Services.

She began her tenure with the University of Texas in 2018 as a Technology Transfer Specialist (TTS), with the Opioid Response Network (ORN). In her role as a TTS, she responds to and identifies the technical assistance needs of requests received in a multi-state area (Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas). She develops technical assistance plans and coordinates local consultants who provide the delivery of technical assistance in the areas of prevention, treatment and recovery of opioid use disorders and stimulant use. Technical assistance may include disseminating evidence-based resources and materials; coordinating education and training events; and/or coordinating evidence-based consultation.

Calandra’s greatest joy is her family. She is a wife and mother of two children in college. She loves spending time in nature, especially if it is on a beach, walking her three dogs, cooking, decorating and remodeling projects and creating healthy, holistic spaces. Her passion is alternative health and wellness and helping others along their wellness journey.
