Alejandra Adán is the Regional Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for the Opioid Response Network (ORN), Region 6. In this role, she develops and implements outreach and engagement strategies that amplify the ORN’s impact on the prevention, treatment, and recovery from opioid and stimulant use. Alejandra’s career has centered on community engagement, outreach and advocacy, biliterate communications, and program/project management. She has held roles in a variety of nonprofit and start-up settings, including mental health peer support, higher education, K-12 school communities, and affordable housing.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Alejandra is a native Spanish speaker and is based in Austin, Texas. Alejandra holds a B.A. from UT Austin, an M.S. Ed from Bank Street College of Education, and is a Leadership Austin Essential Class of 2023 graduate. She currently serves on two Boards of Directors and various committees. Beyond work, Alejandra loves to spend time with her family, two dogs, and good friends.
