Diana M. DiNitto, Ph.D., the Cullen Trust Centennial Professor in Alcohol Studies and Education and Distinguished Teaching Professor at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work, was selected as the Journal of Social Work Education (JSWE) Best Reviewer of 2023.
Each year, the recipient of the Best Reviewer award is selected by the JSWE Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) to recognize a manuscript reviewer who has demonstrated exceptional service in responsiveness to requests for review, timeliness in submitting completed reviews, and quality of written reviews.
“Dr. Diana DiNitto is well established as one of our nation’s best social work educators, and this award from the Journal of Social Work Education is her latest accolade,” said Allan Cole, Dean of SHS. “I am grateful and proud to call her my colleague at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work.”
The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and the EAB will host a reception honoring Dr. DiNitto at the upcoming 2023 CSWE Annual Program Meeting in Atlanta, where Dr. DiNitto will be honored alongside the authors of the Best Articles, and the dedicated professionals who generously donate their time and expertise to review manuscripts. The JSWE Reviewers Reception will take place on Saturday, October 28, from 6 –7 p.m. in International B at the Atlanta Marquis Marriott.
