Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Dante Vargas has been selected by our colleagues as the Employee of the Quarter for June through August 2023. Dante is an essential member of the Academic Affairs team and our School. He received several nominations and garnered high praise from colleagues.
The nominations had a consistent theme: “He is a ray of sunshine.” One of his colleagues wrote, “He works very hard to make sure both his team members as well as prospective students get his very best all the time. No matter the need – he is there to support!” Another colleague observed, “Dante did such an excellent job coordinating the MSSW orientation and I always see him so engaged with the students. Also he has been super helpful to me as a new staff making me feel welcomed and a person I can go to with questions about Academic Affairs.” Still another colleague stated, “Dante has fully embraced his role in recruitment for the MSSW Program. He has taken on the Rising Roots Students of Color Mentorship Program and the St David’s Bilingual Scholars Program. He has become a vital part of the Academic Affairs team and really deserves this recognition!!”
The SHS is fortunate to have Dante as a part of our community. We celebrate him with much gratitude.
