At the invitation of President Jim Davis and Provost William Inboden, Yolanda Padilla, Danielle Parrish and Mary Velasquez have been appointed to the newly established Faculty Advisory Cohort (FAC), part of the University’s New Faculty Advisory Structure announced in September 2025.
The FAC brings together approximately 60 distinguished faculty members from across UT to advise University leadership on significant matters and carry out key academic functions. In addition to occasional full-cohort meetings, members may be invited to participate in smaller subcommittees, task forces, or working groups that address particular initiatives, studies, or administrative issues where faculty input is needed. These will include areas such as curriculum, educational and technology policies, appeals investigating procedural concerns in faculty review, grievances, and library policies.
“This recognition reflects the academic leadership of these three faculty members, the high regard in which their colleagues hold them, and their deep commitment to the University’s mission,” said Allan Cole, Dean of UT Social Work.
