The Latina Adolescent Health Behavior project will examine the cultural and contextual factors influencing health among Latina adolescent females involved in the juvenile justice system. Through in-depth interviews with participants from the CHOICES-TEEN intervention, the study seeks to understand the intersections of sexual health, contraception use, and romantic relationships with cultural expectations and gender role dynamics. Using applied thematic analysis, the project will generate insights to inform the development of culturally tailored prevention interventions for this high-risk population.
