Andrea Turnipseed, LCSW-S, is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Roots Behavioral Health, in Austin, TX. As Executive Director Andrea supports the 50+ employees who serve the mental health needs of over 10,000 Texans. As a therapist Andrea has training and a background in adult mental health and has worked with clients in acute inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, facilitating both group and individual therapy. Andrea is trained in and an expert in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP); but her focus is empowering her team to provide over 5,000 ketamine treatments. Under her leadership, Roots embodies the concept of holistic psychiatry and embraces advances in behavioral health care. She also ensures services are affordable and accessible. She is an international consultant and speaker with the aim to  increase awareness of alternative treatments, educate about ketamine therapy,  and decrease barriers to mental health care.
