Raniah Fattah, MBA, serves at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work as senior academic advisor in the BSW program.
A graduate of the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands, Raniah brings international familiarity and higher education work experience to Texas Social Work. Her true passion is talking with and advising students, imparting knowledge from business studies and prior corporate experience which offer students insights related to job searches and class scheduling.
Raniah is bilingual, with full fluency in English and Arabic. She considers herself fortunate to have lived and networked with students and colleagues that cultivated her intercultural fluency skills – not to mention the great friendships she’s made along the way.
When not advising students, she is “slightly” obsessed with crime shows and podcasts, and loves reading and traveling. In fact, she chose to visit Austin for the first time after reading the book “The Last Thing He Told Me,” a Texas-based thriller. She looks forward to working with students at SHS.
