I am an Associate Academic Advisor at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work, I received my bachelor’s in social work at the University of Texas, Austin in May of 2023. In this role, I expertly guide students through degree requirements, lead advising sessions, and elevate the school’s presence at various events.
I was a first-generation student, I learned to navigate college by myself so now I love to help students navigate these challenging times and life transitions as much as I can.
I also worked at the University as a student, and I am more than happy to help students find different resources on campus as well as let them know what it is to be a student and an employee of the University.
I am more than happy to help with questions or concerns a student may have and give my personal insight to them as I was a student in their positions not long ago. I would like to say I am a self-proclaimed expert on being a Student at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work.
