Dean Luis H. Zayas was one of five speakers in the TEDSalon “Border Stories,” at the TED World Theater in New York City on September 10, 2017. This TEDSalon explored the reality of life at the US-Mexico border, the history of the US immigration policy and possible solutions for reform.

Dean Zayas spoke about how asylum seekers, especially children, face traumatizing conditions on the border, and about the need for compassionate, humane practices that give them the care they need during arduous times.
