Noël Busch-Armendariz was featured by The Chronicle of Higher Education in an article about how The University of Texas is training its police to take a trauma-informed approach to sexual violence.

The article focuses on the Blueprint for Campus Police, a 174-page manual that provides the UT System’s 600 sworn campus police officers with guidance to better engage with and understand victims of sexual violence as well as improve the handling of campus sexual assault cases from the initial report until the conclusion.

Busch-Armendariz and the research team at the School of Social Work’s Institute on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault produced the manual in collaboration with UT System police, which are responsible for 14 academic and health institutions with more than 300,000 students, faculty and staff.
