Dr. Sapana Donde is the Dean’s Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience and Mental Health in the School of Social Work at UT Austin. As a postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Donde has been working with colleagues in the department of psychology and in the School of Social Work to advance our knowledge on the link between neurobiology and trauma, and how we can design effective practice interventions based on this connection.
Dr. Donde received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a concentration in clinical child psychology from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Her research and clinical interests include the neurobiology of trauma, interpersonal violence, trauma-informed mental health services, child welfare and adoption, and cross-cultural psychology.
