The UT SHSSW EJET social work student organization presents the first annual Environmental Justice and Eco-Therapy Conference on Friday April 22nd, 2022 from 9am-4pm on Zoom. The theme is “Healing ourselves and our communities through environmental justice.” The goal of the conference is to bring awareness and education to the UT campus community around issues of sustainability through an environmental justice and mental health lens. One of our social work professional competencies is to aim to advance human rights and social, racial, economic, and environmental justice. The speakers presenting at this conference will consider this as they tie in their expertise on issues such as climate and environmental justice, ecotherapy, and climate and community resilience.

Professionals can earn 1.25 Social Work CEUs for each panel (5 total) and BSW/MSSW students can possibly count it as field hours if you get approval from your field instructor.
