Career Exploration Workshop: Patient Involved Design with Alyssa Aguirre

Are you looking to become a researcher, a treatment designer, or a clinician who designs new and forward-thinking ways to respond to disorders and mental health problems? This workshop is for you.

Alyssa Aguirre, MSW, LCSW-S is Assistant Director of Dementia Care Transformation for the Dell Medical School Department of Neurology. On top of counseling and serving as an Assistant Professor of Practice here, Alyssa works to design cutting-edge new models of dementia care by involving real patients and clients in the process. She strives to take hands-on approach to researching and designing new methods of intervention. Alyssa will discuss her pathway into her career and how she designs interventions and treatments by placing real clients at the center.
