Leila Wood, Ph.D., LMSW

Research Assistant Professor

Leila Wood, PhD, MSSW is a research assistant professor the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Wood’s scholarship is focused on campus-based and community-based interpersonal violence intervention and prevention practices. Wood currently leads or co-leads research projects focused on enhancing service responses to survivors including evaluations of interpersonal violence-focus housing interventions; technology-facilitated hotline services; and advocacy services for violence survivors on college campuses. Over the last several years, she has conducted IPV and SA service program evaluations in close collaboration with community agencies, and conducted research on the extent and impact of sexual assault, dating violence, stalking and sexual harassment on college campuses. Wood has extensive experience working survivors of intimate and interpersonal violence in social work practice settings.
