
Research Associate
Kaleigh Emerson received her Master of Public Health degree from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Lutheran University. She is passionate about initiatives that improve the lives and health of individuals and communities. Earning a Presidential Management Fellowship, Kaleigh worked in federal health insurance policy for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for five years. She was a Rural Health Coordinator, Affordable Care Act educator, and worked on a variety of Medicare fee-for-service and innovation projects. She has worked in various healthcare settings and is now a research associate with Transition Age Youth initiatives at the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Kaleigh enjoys the spring-fed pools in Austin, visiting independent bookstores, and re-exploring Central Texas.
