Carrie Stephens has been with development team at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work since 2009. She received her undergraduate degree from The Evergreen State College, with an emphasis on theatre and sociology. Prior to joining the Steve Hicks School, Carrie worked with creative nonprofits in Washington and Massachusetts, and served with AmeriCorps’ VISTA program as a Girl Scout recruiter in rural Nevada. As development specialist, Carrie manages the school’s stewardship efforts, the Philanthropy Education Program, and general administration for the development office. She is also a member of the Steve Hicks School’s Committee for Diversity and Engagement, and serves on the executive committee of Texas Development’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training Committee as co-chair of the Training sub-committee.
