Ashley Welch is a Project Manager with the Claborn Lab in the Addiction Research Institute.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Southern California and her master’s degree in Biological Anthropology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has been a project coordinator or manager at The University of Texas at Austin since 2008, and began working with the Claborn Lab in 2019 with Project CONNECT/TxCOPE.  She has a personal interest in supporting people who use drugs and those with lived experience lead healthy, dignified lives, and working to reduce the stigma associated with substance use.  In her free time Ashley enjoys playing and seeing live music, audio engineering, and sandlot baseball.
