Sok An

Sok An has interests in gerontology, research method, statistics and contacting clients directly. Before moving to Austin, he worked for 5 years at the Adult Day Health Care Center in California as a program director. He has worked on a few research projects, including a pilot study of the Internet-based chronic disease self-management program for low-income homebound older adults; and an exploratory study of activity/program needs and preferences among racial/ethnic minority senior center participants. He has one publication in the Journal of Aging Research & Clinical Practice and one currently under review.  He has completed advanced training in structural equation modeling (SEM) and hierarchical linear modeling (HLM). Additionally, he is a recipient of pre-dissertation initiative of the Association for Gerontology Education in Social Work (2012-2013).
