Katherine Sanchez, PhD ’11, has been awarded the Early Career Stage Mentoring Program Award for NIDA Research from the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Launched in 2011, this mentoring program aims to expand and enhance research training opportunities for early stage faculty investigators.

Katherine is an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work at The University of Texas Arlington. Her expertise includes integrated health care, treatment of mental health in primary care settings, and mental health issues of Latino populations.
