This project focuses on the new Strong Families intervention is effective within the setting at Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Metrocare.
Researchers will first analyze client satisfaction questionnaires pre- and post-treatment. Questionnaires tailored to the Strong Families project will be developed to assess the modules within the intervention. The effectiveness of project services will also be assessed through data analysis of assessments that determine whether clinical improvements have been made by families receiving the intervention. Follow-up data will also be collected and assessed to understand whether or not program recipients have improved as a result of the program or if they may need additional support.
Results will increase evidence base of the Strong Families intervention, specifically in its effectiveness with military families. This intervention aims to improve mental health and strengthen relationships within a supportive atmosphere.
