At Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, social work interns get in-depth clinical training in a unique residential setting

Since 2003, the School of Social Work has offered a field internship for master’s level students at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, a modern community of boys and girls from pre-school through high school who live in group homes with house parents in a supportive environment. The ranch is part of Cal Farley’s, one of America’s largest privately funded child and family service providers. In addition to residential or campus-based services, Cal Farley’s provides community-based services in five cities throughout Texas.

The School of Social Work internship at Cal Farley’s offer a generous stipend, in-depth clinical training including trauma-informed evidence-based interventions that are at the core of the program, and the unique experience of being embedded in the ranch (read more here.) In this video, students Arnold Cantú and Collin Jevne share their experiences at Cal Farley’s during the 2015 spring semester.
