Research Project Director
Nicole Levy Nale is a Research Project Director at the School of Social Work’s Institute on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault. She currently oversees the Statewide Human Trafficking Mapping Project for Texas, a research initiative funded through the Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor to provide empirically-grounded data about the extent of human trafficking in Texas. Nicole received her Master of Science in Social Work in 2013 through The University of Texas at Austin and has worked in the field of interpersonal violence since 2011. Her previous research contributions have focused on sexual assault, children exposed to interpersonal violence, and the development of a bystander intervention for sexual and dating violence. Prior to her graduate education, Nicole was a licensed financial advisor. She currently lives in Dallas with her husband and two cocker spaniels, Toby and Carter.
